ONLINE ACADEMY - ONLINE ADMISSION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By submitting an application through this website, you (the applicant, or the parent/guardian applying on behalf of a learner) agree to the following terms.
1. WHO MAY APPLY
1.1 CBC applications are made by a parent or guardian on behalf of the learner, for Pre-Primary to Grade 12.
1.2 Higher education applications (Certificate, Diploma, Degree and Postgraduate) are made by the applicant, who must be 18 years or older.
2. ACCURACY OF INFORMATION
2.1 You confirm that all information and documents you submit are true, complete and belong to the named learner or applicant.
2.2 Providing false or forged information or documents may lead to rejection of the application or cancellation of admission at any stage.
3. DOCUMENTS
3.1 Upload the documents listed in the admission instructions for your category. Documents that are marked "if available" are not compulsory.
3.2 Documents must be clear and readable.
3.3 The school may ask for additional documents at a later stage, where needed.
4. ADMISSION FEE
4.1 The admission fee is KES 2500, payable when applying through M-Pesa Paybill 247247, Account No. 723741.
4.2 Enter the M-Pesa confirmation code in the application form.
4.3 The admission fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.
4.4 Payment of the admission fee does not guarantee admission.
5. ADMISSION DECISIONS
5.1 Admission is subject to available places and the applicant meeting the entry requirements.
5.2 The school may admit, place on a waiting list, or decline an application. The school's decision is final, but you may ask for a review by writing to admissions@uju.co.ke.
5.3 Applicants will be notified by email, phone or WhatsApp using the contact details provided. Please keep them current.
6. SCHOOL FEES
6.1 Fees for the programme or grade are as stated in the school's current fee structure, which is available on request.
6.2 Fees must be paid by the due dates given. Learners or students with unpaid fees may be restricted from accessing classes, assessments or results.
6.3 Refunds of fees are handled as provided in the school's refund policy
7. ONLINE LEARNING REQUIREMENTS
7.1 You are responsible for having a suitable device and a reliable internet connection for online lessons and assessments.
7.2 For learners under 18, a parent or guardian is expected to support the learner in following lessons and completing assigned work.
7.3 Login details are personal. Do not share them with others.
8. CONDUCT AND ACCEPTABLE USE
8.1 Learners and students must follow the school's code of conduct, including respectful behaviour in online classes, chats and forums.
8.2 Recording, sharing or publishing lessons, materials or other people's images without permission is not allowed.
8.3 Cheating, plagiarism, impersonation or misuse of the learning platform may lead to disciplinary action, including suspension or dismissal.
9. PERSONAL DATA
9.1 The school collects and uses the information you provide to process the application, manage admission, deliver learning, communicate with you and meet legal requirements, in line with the Data Protection Act, 2019.
9.2 Information about learners under 18 is processed with the consent of the parent or guardian.
9.3 Your information will not be sold. It may be shared only with people or bodies that need it for the purposes above, or where the law requires.
9.4 You may ask to see, correct or delete your information by writing to admissions@uju.co.ke, subject to legal and record-keeping requirements.
10. WITHDRAWAL
10.1 You may withdraw an application or admission by writing to admissions@uju.co.ke.
10.2 The school may cancel an admission if these terms are breached, fees are not paid, or the information provided is found to be false.
11. CHANGES
11.1 The school may update these terms, fees, programmes and intake dates. The version published on the website at the time of application applies.
12. GENERAL
12.1 These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
